Hereby, i would like to have some personal reviews of the movie that screen on during the event and personal comments about the event.

Every movies have their own morals and try to delivering some specific messages to their audiences.

Let start with the movie named "Hangus".

Hangus is consider as a good low cost education film. For the views of educations, YES !! it good for teaching us that "someone may did the same things to us as we did it before to others". I love it, because of i believe that what we did now will be pay in future. However, for the views of attractiveness, erm.. personally i think that it was attractive not attractive enough for me. It may because of it was a low cost production film and due to the issues of budget, the potential of the films is unable to fully showed.

B.A.L.O

Among all the movies screened in "Layar Gerila" (except Pemburu Buaya Darat) i love this one the most. I agree that environment will change people, but family is the main factors that influence people personality. But the movie can be better with improvement. The connection between each scene is not smooth enough, it may cause people confuse about the story line.

Erm.. actually i miss some part of this movie, so it was unfair to make reviews about it. But from others audience comments about the movie, it was quite good as well.

The movie to promote UTM? Well, it giving us some feeling of 007 James bond. Promoting UTM robot (Erm.. i not sure the robot in the movie is the creation of UTM or not), Capsule (UTM is producing Capsule of kacip fatimah (tongkat ali i not sure about it)), Spray (i never hear of it) but i have a question that why within the movie didn't showed the "solar car", UTM is proud to build and own the first solar car in Malaysia. It also won a lot of rewards oversea, but why didn't showed in the movie that promoting UTM?

The story line is good, but the action is so unreal. M16 same as pistol? one shot per click? hit the air also can defect the enemy? Change location during the fight, once one of them get hit?

It was planned to shooting like that (comedy) ? or high costs for retake the scene?

Tanjung rambutan

Erm.. for me, when i finish the movie, i still thinking why u-wei make this movie? It make sense, but a litter bit illogical.

The background story of this movie is Malaysia, a Malay family. (speak in malay, malay decoration)

Litter bro kill his sis accidentally when their parent not around. (fall from chair = dead? )

Burying the sis body at the backyard (hand is clean after burying? if wash hand why didn't wash his face also? parents didn't notice that the ground at the backyard is unusual?)

Parent asking the litter bro where his sis go (keep silence can solve any problems? Ask few time, than make report with police = settle?)

litter bro start watering the places where he burying his sister (It happen after the sister is missing, mother saw it but didn't check it?)

rambutan tree grow at the places where the sister burying but the parent didn't notice it? (it funny that the father still say that "the tree is there long time ago, but we didn't notice it" but the mother is housewife, the places of the tree is near the kitchen, before the tree grow, there was a grassland, the mother is blink?)

For me, tanjung rambutan is a story that full of mystery...

Hereby, i would like to share somethings i read from newspaper long time ago. It was a "joke" about movie.

It was an interviews between reporter and an actor

Reporter : Hello XXX, actually how to classified the nature of the movie.

Actor: It was very easy, just invite a family watch the movie and observe them.

Reporter : Huh? how?

Actor: If the family finish the movie quietly, it was a "U" class, suitable for all.

Actor: If during the show, the child keep asking their parents questions, it was a parent guide movie.

Actor: If when the movie ended, adult is awakening and child is sleeping, it was a adult movie.

Actor: If when the movie ended, adult is sleeping and child is awakening, it was a children movie.

Actor: If during the movie, the child is forced wait outside the hall, it was pure adult movie.

Actor: If when the movie ended, both adult and child is sleeping, it was a art movie, more earlier they fall as sleep, more films rewards will gained.

Personal Comment

Personal comment? Overall it was a successful event (personal view). But there are some problems when showing the "list of production" after each movie. Some audience just leave the hall after "hangus" is finish. The surrounding is quiet during the "list of production team".

Audience is leaving before the end of the event (tomorrow is Monday, got class or go for work).

Some people wish to join, but lack of transportation support. (Bus services end at 10)

300 sitting spaces with 100++ audience make the hall look empty. Some audience prefer still at the back which is more comfortable.

Performers check their instruments on stage, which it should fully set-up before it start.
